Building Expansion - Completed in the Fall of 2008
In May of 2008, we started a building expansion project on
the North side of our facility. This 14,000 square foot addition is part of a $3.0 million expansion project to increase the production capacity of our sand
system and further improve our sand quality. It will also greatly improve the
product flow through our cleaning department. The exterior of the building
addition was was completed in mid-August 2008.
This
is the initial phase of an overall $10 million capital expenditure program.
Within the next 2-3 years, we will further streamline the product flow within
our cleaning department, add two additional melting furnaces and add a 32x32
DISA Matchplate Automatic Molding System. The net effect of these changes
will be to double our overall plant capacity to produce quality castings for our
customers. We are excited at the possibilities this expansion will bring to our
customers.
